The Final project of my Bachelors degree, Working on this project has been a great experience, but great experiences are not always fun and games this project went over 28 Weeks.
Coming in to my next project I would go about it very different as I have learnt some valuable lessons. The biggest problem we had in this project is we didn’t have a final on how it was going to look until more than half way through the project. This created many problems and played a huge part in our timing of the development plan.
The short film came out one thousand times better then what I was expecting. With actual sound done by a girl that just finished studying sound for films. The shots seemed to flow really well together with the massive time difference in the characters life. This was a big concern to me but the short came together really well. Picking a 2 tone colour scheme help work this out. the animation was really well done by all team members and the motion capture used you can hardly notice the difference between motion capture and key framed animation.
The story is really good on how so many people watch it and everyone takes the story different on their own reflected life.
One of the big problems I would say I had was I didn’t go to uni all that much. But for good reason,  the computers at my university only had 8 gig of ram and there processors are a lot slower, when you are working with a solid state drive, 32g of ram and a 38.4 GHz processor and a Wacom Cintiq. So I asked myself what benefits. I get if I go to university. I came to the conclusion is that I was getting 90% more work done at home. I always made sure I was on the internet for contact and I always made great efforts in contacting the team to make sure I was still on track for what I was meant to be doing.
This short I feel is going to do well because it’s something so different and done very well. People will have a hard time forgetting this short.
